Jane Williams

Jane qualified as a Family Law Solicitor in 1987 after attending the College of Law in Chester. She also has a Masters degree from the Cardiff School of Journalism.

Jane formally practised from 1989 until 2010, as Family law and conveyancing  Partner in a large South Wales Solicitors Practice in Cardiff and subsequently at an education law practice with several London offices.

Jane is an Advanced Accredited Expert Specialist Solicitor in Family Law on the Law Society Panel and early member of Resolution.

An extremely experienced Family Solicitor and  Mediator, Jane has over 25 years experience practising as a Family Mediator. She initially trained under Lisa Parkinson, a pioneer in the field of of family mediation practice in Britain, from 1977 onwards who played a central role (arguably being the central figure) in its development. Her published work in 1997, Family Mediation, still remaining the definitive Mediation textbook.

Jane is also a Resolution member and  committed to the Resolution code of conduct in dealing with matters amicably.
